Fr. Robert Nixon, OSB

Having studied composition, musicology, philosophy, literature and education, and after working for a period as a professional musician and educator, he entering the diocesan Seminary in Queensland, where he studied theology through ACU, gaining the Faculty Medal. As well as directing the NNIBS, he also serves as Liturgy-Co-ordinator to the monastery. He is a Fellow of Trinity College of Music, London, and the London College of Music (University of West London), and an Accademico ad honorem of the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna. He has served as an Advisor to Arts Queensland and a Board Member of James Cook University.

The Magical Amulets of the Ancient Sages and Bibliotheca Necromantica by Trithemius includes his compilation on the properties of magical amulets and an astonishing insight into the occult literature in circulation in Europe in the late Middle Ages.
